We believe that opting for homestay,camping or eco-lodges can greatly involve local communities which in turn helps in the protection of natural habitats.
In every tour plan, particularly for birding tours, we include well-regarded hotels based on location, activities, and the level of comfort you desire. For example, staying at a nearby hotel is often preferred for early morning birding.
If you have specific requests for particular hotels, lodges, or camping sites, or if you require special facilities, we will do our best to accommodate them in your tour.
Our tour agreement becomes effective only once “Birdtrails Sri Lanka” has received both the completed booking form and the corresponding reservation deposit. If the booking is made within 30 days of the tour start date, full payment is required.
A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to secure a booking. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward the final payment.
The remaining payment is due 30 days prior to your tour date. The final price quoted for the tour is based on the agreed schedule, and any changes to the schedule may result in additional charges.
We handle all cancellations with understanding. However, given the nature of these tours, we reserve the right to impose the following maximum charges if participants cancel for any reason:
Postponing tours due to reasons beyond the participants’ control is always permissible. We can discuss and adjust the tour plan accordingly.
In the event of a postponement, “Birdtrails Sri Lanka” reserves the right to modify or substitute tour itineraries or arrangements due to circumstances beyond our control.
Tour participants are required to obtain their own travel insurance. We recommend comprehensive coverage. You acknowledge and accept that the tour may involve inherent risks and could take you through remote areas, potentially subject to unfavorable political, environmental, health or climatic conditions.
